Experience of Tamaki Collage

Having the chance to experience Tamaki College, was a great time to pay attention to what I will be learning because according to my schedule I will be a year 9 next year, i’m not so sure what College I will attend to but as long as i’m on task of what I am learning.

As we had arrived at Tamaki College I had noticed that there was no students that had attend to College besides the student that helped out, since this had occurred I had realized that this had happened because all different schools came to Tamaki College, further more we came to Tamaki College for the fact that the year 8 are going college next year and we need the experience to see what classes we would attend.

The first period that we had attend was P.E, this was showing the type of sports and different ways that you can do with your team, what we had done was have all sorts of little sports that you would do such as soccer but you have to use your hands, basketball so just how you play normally, touch and the rule with that if you can do forward passes and if you get tagged you hand the ball to the other team and that's what we had done for 20 minutes.

Second period was science, some people had the chance to have all different subjects in science for example some people made ice-cream but it was a certain recipe that turns into ice-cream. Much more my group had just done ways that electricity works such as how things work, I had learnt that there is all different ways to get electricity even though electricity cant run through plastic and rubber but it can through metal,

This period is my favourite subject that I had done throughout the whole day, this was social studies, and this was having the chance to have quizzes that is resent to the news, I had got to have a partner such as my friend because she didn’t have a netbook so I didn't mind furthermore I really enjoyed my time laughing throughout social studies.

Peride 3 was maths, I also enjoyed this for the fact that I struggle at maths though I found it fun and actually learning lots of things knew, I was really proud for completing maths so I felt happy through the whole perode. The teacher gave me a chocolate of some sort so that made me feel like im good at completing things of maths as I normally find maths hard.

Polyfest writing 2

Considering it was a Friday, and each student from team 5 had been given a permission slip, this meant I was one of those people that would play outside and forget to give my permission slip because I was too busy worrying about my weekend,  Monday can be usually a tired start to school as your weekend starts, when this happens it gives you the chance to stay up late. We were actually in luck since we had to give our permission slips by Thursday as that was the day we would leave for polyfest.

Thursday

The day had come, this meant it was  time to experience polyfest 2015. As soon as we had got the opportunity to go polyfest I had seen things set out, there were so many stations that was laid out on one part of the field. When we had walked through the entrance gate we had been welcomed to ASB and there little station for people and students, I was considering there was gonna be other schools as it was a thursday. Things from the ASB section was to get a sticky note and write something we know about ASB, I had wrote dear ASB you company is such a privilege to our family you are such a good company, once the lady had received my peace of writing to stick it up on the wall she thought it was so lovely I had received a wrist band. Every other station had quizzes to try and win things such as a bottle and bag gifts and things in those gifts were sunglasses, sunblock, a fan, a ball and a bag that came with it. Even though we had station most of them we had to take a photo so they can show we had come to their station and to show we had come to polyfest.

We had needed parents to come along to help out with polyfest, once the teachers looked at the slips they had seen there was not as much parent helpers as they thought there would be, there was one more day left to polyfest and there was a letter given out to say please we need more parent helpers so parents had volunteered to help out. When we had heard that there was not as many parents as we needed the teachers were thinking to not go as there was not enough parent helpers, though we had received the good news that had said we are able to go as there had been volunteers to come along and help out. All of us had been great full to have the chance to go polyfest as we wouldn’t of been able to go without the parent helpers. At least we had made it for our 2015 polyfest. I was so grateful to have the privilege to go polyfest and that's why I said thank you.

Apparently it was saturday and it was really early, I woke up only because I heard a big slam!

coming from the door. Meanwhile I decided to wake up and sprint to my mum, but then as soon as I had the chance to say where  are you going, she was already on her way to leave. I then found out from my older sister that my mum drove off to the bank to pay the bills.

My mum txt my sister but obviously I had to give her phone away, because she asked me to,  and that means I have to grab her phone because she is the oldest. I had arrived in her room and found her phone laying around on her bed. Then I had read the message only because it was from my mum… and it said make sure your sister does the washing which means me and my sister do loads more than me. She then read the message and she screwed her face up at it. She told me everything that she had to do well she just does the washing. I had said “let me ask mum then” and she then got caught, I had said to her “hahaha  try to make me do all the things you were supposed to do”, and she just laughed and so did I.

I have to admit  hanging out the washing was a lot of clothes but its better then doing all the things my sister had to do. I ended up helping her because I felt sorry for her doing all those stuff so I decided to do vacuum the house. Once we had finished cleaning the house my mum arrived pretty much like 18 minutes later. In the mean time at least my mum brang us (Mcdonald) to eat for cleaning the house. My brother, he well,  was just practising his dance for poly fest. He was lucky because he didn’t have to clean but in the same time he didn’t get anything to eat besides him having breakfast.

The day had been moving fast and it was a big day cleaning and eating in the same time,  we had just watched home and away. We had ended the day off well. It was a great day besides cleaning… but at the end of the day it was still fun.
