So that they can explain what a Puia Hangi and they can tell the kids and family how to make it so when they grow up they can help the older people out.

I think that they are making some food in the box for their family because when I look at the image I see food and kids, so I think they are cooking food in the box.
Where is the article set?
At the southern end of Lake Taupo, with a small settlement called Tokaanu.

It's a community rule in Southern Lake Tupou.
What does geothermal mean? Can you name two geothermal towns/cities in NZ?
It means a system of heat that is hot. and two of the names are,Taupo and Rotilio.
What are the children studying at school? What do you know about this topic?
They are studying healthy heating, and that they have four vegster balls every day for dinner and lunch.
Because they are studying this topic what do you think they are learning?
To eat healthy not fat food so you can be fit and healthy when they grow up, and also because when they grow up the can make their own Puia Hangi. Can you tell me three things about healthy eating?Eating vegetables and having soup and eating healthy.
What does their kai have to include?Three vegetables sausages and chops and even wild pork and pig to eat with their dinner.
Where did Mareka get her pork from? They got it from a pig that his dad when he was hunting.Would the meat be fresher because of the way it was caught and where it came from?Maybe both because the animal maybe had lots of food to have then the animal became big and then big so maybe it’s quite nice.
For what reason do you think they are wrapping the meat in tinfoil?To make the food more hot and also because it keeps the heat inside the tin foil. Have you ever cooked or seen anyone cook using tinfoil. For what reason do you think they were using this material when cooking?medal and box and rocks they use metal to make it born the medal is just like a pan and they use a box to keep their food in the box and they use the rokx so they can keep it in place.

What do they cook the food in? In tin foil so that the food is super hot and they also do that because it makes the steam stay in.How do you think this cooks the food?When they start the food up the steam comes and then the steam get stuck in the tin foil so it make’s cook faster.
Why do the children not have to worry about their kai burning?
Because sometimes when it goes bernt is yum because it’s crunchy and fresh.
What do you think about this traditional way of cooking?It’s a trodicanil thing because up north they do the Hangi and much more other places, I think it’s good how they made a hangi because it’s so different to other food and it’s healthy and yum. If you had the opportunity to cook in this way would you? Why/why not?Yes because when my family get old I can take them to a place and make them a Hangi.
How are the locals making money from this way of cooking?
They can make money by selling their hangi and doing a fair well so that people will want a HAngi because it’s so yum.
What are the benefits of cooking in this way?
It means that when they cook they get money because of all of their great cooking
because it healthy eating.
Approximately how long does it take for food to cook in this way?it takes one to two and a half to three hours to make the kia stay in the steam. Is this the normal amount of time food takes to cook?It all depend on how much kia you have because if you have a little bit it is more faster but if you have heaps so it would be a long time so they would do,it early in the morning so that they can eat it later on in the afternoon.
When does the puia become cooler, for what reason does this occurence make it become cooler?When it started to cook because all of the steam start to make it hot so it change it’s color because it has been cooked so that mean it a little bit ready or ready.
For what reason was some of the food still firm?
it is like that because it is packed properly and the tin foil is soft and hot because of the steam and because it has been cooked.
Do you think that by cooking in this way the students are eating healthily?
Yes because there is no oil in it so it is healthy and it is also good because they at least have three vegetables.
What were some of the uses for puia, besides cooking?
baking because when they finish their kia they start to bake and make some other type of food
for the kids and family to have.
